Bulldogs Open Season with Dominant Win in Front of Packed House
St. Paul, MN — Saturday night brought plenty of excitement to St. Paul as the Minnesota Bulldogs tipped off their season in front of a sold-out crowd at the High School for Recording Arts, widely regarded as the “#1 gym in the land.” The energy in the building matched the action on the court as the Bulldogs put on a show, defeating the cross-town rival Broncos 115-93.
Early on, neither team was able to create much separation, trading buckets in a fast-paced opening quarter. But the tide began to turn when Bulldog guards Sam Willis III and Jaylon Hollins caught fire, combining for a scoring spree that ignited the home crowd.
The momentum only grew when Kavaarian Williams entered the game off the bench. His spark on both ends of the floor energized the second unit and helped stretch the lead into double digits. From there, the Bulldogs never looked back, using balanced scoring and high-tempo play to pull away in the second half.
The victory marked an emphatic start to the Bulldogs’ campaign, with fans packing the stands and creating an electric atmosphere from tip-off to the final buzzer.
